Questions & Answers

Which Denomination is the Right One?

Christianity is divided into a thousand different sects and denominations. Some believe one thing, others believe another. Is this the way of Christ? If different denominations within Christianity hold to different beliefs and doctrines, which of them has the truth? This an important question, because perfection is required of the body of Christ for which Jesus will return. The bride must be spotless, and division is the worst spot of all.

The prophet Jeremiah was told by God: "Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth, and I will pardon it. And though they say, `The Lord liveth', surely they swear falsely" (Jer.5:1-2).

God was going to allow Jerusalem the opportunity to escape from utter destruction - IF - Jeremiah could find one man within her gates that loved the truth, but he could not! Do you really believe that Jeremiah could not find one person among the thousands of inhabitants who wanted God's truth? Remember, this was a true life story, not a dream! Do you - can you - believe it? It is your faith in God's revelation, if you can picture lonely Jeremiah searching among the people of God for anyone who was interested in the truth - yet he could not find one! Yes friend, that takes real faith; and even more faith than that to believe the same thing might be true today.

When we believe what the prophets said about Israel, we are prepared to believe the truth about God's congregation. As Paul stated; "All these things happened unto them for examples, and they are written for our admonition..." Let us look at some of the "admonitions" the prophets gave to Israel, and compare them with what is occurring in the congregation:

"Truth is perished , and cut off from their [Israelites] mouths" (Jer.7:28). In the days of Jeremiah, near the time when God would send Babylon soldiers to sack Jerusalem, the truth of God was unknown among God's own people. It was not possible for them to speak the truths of God. There was no such thing as hearing the truth preached from any priest or religious teacher anywhere in Israel. Israel was to have been the light of the world. Though they spoke much "about" God, Jeremiah said none of them truly knew the right ways of God. It is possible that in the congregation . . . the truth is nowhere to be found, though Jesus be much spoken about. Not only is it possible, but we tell you, such is the case. We are telling you, with sincerity and love, that you are not hearing the truth in your Christian church. None of them. Anywhere. There is no denomination or sect in "Christianity" that has the truth, because Christian ministers have not heard from Jesus, though Jesus is willing to speak to them. If Jesus had spoken to any of then, they would be saying the same thing - not different things. Let us speak plainly: Catholicism is the wrong way. Episcopalians are still aliens to the kingdom of God. Methodists are deluded and estranged from the right ways of God. The Nazarenes and Mormons are yet unclean. The Baptists and Jehovah's Witnesses are bewitched. Pentecostals in all their sects have perverted the right ways of God. Lutherans are left out. From head to foot, Christianity's denominations and the religion in its entirety is unclean, because it never has been, nor is it now, and nor will it ever be of God. It's "nature" is division, and it's effect on all those who partake of it is sin. There is not one Christian radio or television program which proclaims the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Truth has perished in our time, just as it had perished in the mouths of God's people in Jeremiah's time. But who has the faith to believe it, and then confess it?!

It takes as much faith to believe the truth about the miserable spiritual condition of the congregation in our time. For men speak well of Jesus, and that is the trap. It is a net for Satan's ministers to draw into their religious nets, those poor innocent souls who are searching for the right ways of God in Christ. They are all covetous, just as the prophets said: "From the least to the greatest of them, every one is given to covetousness". Those who deceived the Old Testament children of God spoke well of Jehovah. They could not have deceived God's people had they not done so. Those who deceive the children of God now speak well of Jesus. But praise without obedience to God amounts to nothing more than flattery; and God has never been impressed with it.

This is what is so difficult for men to believe . . . but it is true. God is earnestly calling his people (those who have been baptized with the holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues) out of "Christianity". Be careful to hear what we are saying. God is not calling His people out of loving and worshipping Jesus Christ in spirit and in truth. Oftentimes, people misunderstand what we are saying. We are telling you to love Jesus . . . but not the Jesus "of Christianity"! God is calling His people out of a religion where there is no truth! And the name of that religion has come to be known as "Christianity" - where many come "in Jesus' name", but He "knows none of them", just as He said!

"To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken. Behold the word of the Lord is to them a reproach; they have no delight in it" (Jer.6:10). So completely blind to God's truth had His people become, that they were ashamed of what God had to say to them. The "truth" made them uncomfortable. God's own people were deluded by the religious words of religious men who did not really know God, yet who spoke often of Him. The people were made to believe lies, and were told if they did not believe these lies, then they were not the people of God. The truth became an "unpleasant" thing, something to be avoided and denounced.

Please listen to the truth which exposes EVERY group which is not walking in truth: No one is born again until he is baptized with the holy Ghost, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. Pay attention to that. "By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body" (1Cor.12:13). The drunkenness of Christianity will have you to say within your heart that you will be alright in the final judgment without the holy Ghost. The spirit of Christianity is that voice in your mind - that voice in the mouth of false prophets and profane ministers - telling you to relax, that God is not a God of judgment, that you will not be damned, even if your life is less than holy. This is not a new thing. That lying spirit has been speaking through religious men from the beginning. The prophets pleaded with the saints of old not to listen to those deceitful voices, and pleaded with the false prophets to cease from their lies about God. "Ye have wearied me with your words, saith the Lord. Yet ye say, `Wherein have we wearied Him?' When ye say `Everyone that doeth evil is good in the eyes of the Lord, and He delighteth in them' and 'Where is the God of judgment?'" (Mal.3:17). "Mine heart within me is broken because of the lying prophets . . . They have healed the hurt of my people slightly, saying 'Peace! Peace!' when there is no peace'" (Jer.23:9; 6:14).

You may choose to lean upon the multitudes who are drunk with the wine of Christianity's false assurances of "getting saved", and to hide amid the crowds, but what will you do in the end, when God will judge the world in righteousness by Jesus Christ? "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad".

The answer to today's question is that NONE of Christianity's denominations are the right way of God. The denominations and divisions of Christianity are God's curse on a rebellious people - division is a CURSE, not a blessing. If any man tells you that Christianity's divisions are "God's diversity", they are speaking from a heart of delusion, because Jesus' prayer was that His people be one.

So the question we present back to you is this: Since none of the denominations in Christianity have the truth, why are you staying there? Come to Jesus Christ "outside the camp, bearing his reproach" and you will be blessed by your heavenly Father - that is what you are after anyway.
